One of my New Year's Resolutions was to introduce myself to this group. As a woman who has worked since she was 13 years old (summers), been one of 32 women in a sales staff of 456 people, it's great to finally see so many Women in Business!

 In 1980, I asked my company to lay me off, put my house up for rent, leased a stunning condo overlooking Mission Bay and the ocean in San Diego and gave myself 6 months to start my own business. After querying all of my friends, the one word that stood out was "Organized". So I wrote a $5.00 ad, put it in a classified section of a free paper, and suddenly I was in business. Here's the ad:

A writer for Redbook magazine was doing an article on "How to Make Extra Money at Christmas" thought I organized closets (because I was a woman) and called me. She ended up hiring me to organize her work space, did a press release, the LA Times picked it up and the rest is history. I have done TV and radio including the Oprah Winfrey show. For 15 years I have been organizing peoples work spaces-from individuals to Corporations.

 However, the most important thing to know about me is that I believe that a person should have the life they want. Freedom (the operative word) to control my time, to use my power and to have control over my life is, what makes me alive. Being Organized gives me the foundation to pursue that direction.

 I have lectured, done workshops and consulted some incredibly successful people, who were terribly disorganized and their life suffered because of it. No matter how much money you make, if you are in chaos, you will suffer.
