The coffee is brewing, iced-tea in the frig, supper's on the stove...and the business women welcome committee has just turned into the driveway.  That's how life is at the fodbusiness maillist. Every single day new members subscribe and walk through our doors, take a look around, and some stay...and other's leave.

That is what our businesses have happen to them each and everyday. We put up our "open for business signs," display all our products/services, and make sure there is change in the cash register. I ask, "then, why aren't we ALL on vacation enjoying the fruits of our labor?"

I believe, somehow, there must be a missing link in this picture. Kinda like steps on a ladder. There being several steps on a ladder, one should try to put ones foot on the bottom step, and then try to place the next foot directly on the top step to really picture that missing link.  I tried that exercise and ended up in a chiropractors office with severe back injury (NOT) :)

In order not to get hurt, we must not only visualize the individual steps to success, but manually build each step to success.  As in any "Welcome," there is an introduction. My name is Deb Nyberg, and I kick open doors of opportunity for women in business throughout the world, via the internet!"

The second is "getting to know you!" Hi, (new customer) thank you for visiting Field of Dreams. FoD has many ways to support and promote your business but I'd like to know what your specific struggles are at this time. That way I can better meet your immediate needs. 

The third is "I know you have friends and family who support your efforts in business!" I'd love to know the "support team behind you!" Tell me a little about your customers, friends, family, etc. so we can show you how to better support their needs. As a networking group of women in business, FoD has become a long-arm extension of support to all kinds of businesses. Who else do you think FoD could benefit?

There are fourth, fifth, and sixth, etc. steps to building business but all of these steps should be planned. Plan how to become an expert in your field and be first to share your plan with others. 

The online community of women in business have so much knowledge and expertise that we would never struggle in business if we compared notes of business strategies.
